Pub annos are part of ECAs and appear on the left side of the screen. They are created as a 720x576 tiff file with alpha, most likely in an application like Photoshop. The graphic is made in 16:9 and is sized to 720x576. (i.e. full height anamorphic)
Even if the Anno is being used in a 4:3 ECA it is still made in 16:9. The Clarity does the aspect ratio conversion.
Once the pub anno is made it must be stored on the Clarities in transmission with a file name like:
slot1.tif
slot2.tif
slot3.tif
They are stored in the folder: C:\smg master\pictureslots
...on each of the Clarity machines in transmission
The valid range is slot1.tif to slot 10.tif
Here are links to two files. If opened in Photoshop CS/2 they contain guides of the area in which you can put the pub anno. They also contain the proper alpha channel.
Here is an example pub anno

The area of the screen that can be used for pub annos is shown in this picture. It is best to centre the information in the area.
